ABOUT "PARK CENTRAL" RAMP PARK
"Park Central" formally known as skate and ride, is one of the origonal indoor skateparks in the country. It is located in probably the best spot of Bristol in the southwest which is easily accesable by car, train, bus and even with a near-by international airport! "park central" has just recently been taken over by its current owners and a change in layout was immediatly followed. There are still more changes in store for the near future. There is also an area out the back of the park with ramps that has been changed around a few times, and right now is in the middle of another change. Some top professional riders have ridden the ramps of "Skate and Ride" including this years BMX gravity games champion Simon Tabaron who learn how to ride vert at "Park Central". Rene Hulgreen and Cesar Mora, two of the worlds best inline skaters from Denmark and Australia also visited a few years ago. Top skateboarders come down for friday night vert sessions quite often, and there are plenty of other top level riders the use the facilities. But saying all that it is a great place for beginners and professoinals a like. "Park Central" have also built street courses for the National Adventure Sports Show (N.A.S.S) over the last couple of years, They have also suppiled skaters/riders for events such as the "wrigleys" demos.
"Park Central" has also been the venue for some top class competitions in the different sports over the years, with a rider traveling from as far as Australia to compete in a BMX comp held last summer.
