| GBA REVIEW ----------------- Game: Tekken Advance Developer: Namco Out:Now ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Review by Saq ------------------------------------------------------------------------- How fun can this game be? Too much fun. Tekken Advance has all of the characters from Tekken 2. It even has the feel of Tekken 2. The modes that you can play are, Arcade, vs battle, survival and many other challenging modes. Each character has an extensive list of moves which are no problem to perform. I dont know why Namco insisted on adding King into the game, but i just really hate that character, he cant fight too well at all. Overall, the fighting is great, it's exactly how you'd expect it to be. It's pretty fast paced too which add's to the excitement. The background music sounds nice too and match's the scenery nicely. As i said before, beating the crap out of each other on a handheld cant possibly get better than this. Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance is probably the only game that is nearly as perfect as Tekken Advance. If your wondering if you can play as Heihachi, you can, but you must work long and hard to unlock him. For a fighting game, nothing can get better than this. The controls are very responsive which allows for some good fights. The replayability is alright, but you may tire of battling through the samish stages. I think there's about 6 to 8 different stages, but the blocky background may put a few people off from wanting to play this game more. The difficulty is perfect, its not too hard and its not too easy, its right in between where it should be. If your into beat em up games such as this, i'd reccomend you buy it before you miss out. Here is my verdict for Tekken Advance. Gameplay: 95% Tekken Advance provides all the action from the ps1 version of Tekken 2 Sound: 86% and shoves it into your gba for some portable action. Definatly a fun Control: 98% game, but you will get tired of the same levels. Other than going through Difficulty: 100% arcade mode, survival mode provides a tough challenge to satisfy anyone. ---------------------------------- By Saq Copyright 2006 ---------------------------------- Click the images below to view some screenshots. |
