A SOFTWARE TO FIT CURVES
this software fits curve through given data
input: 1.the points through which the required curve should pass
2.the type of the curve that user wants to fit(from the list of the type of curves given)
output: 1.the graph of the fitted curve with the given points
2.the parameters of the family of the curve choosen
language: FORTRAN 90
*output is taken in X-window using PGPLOT

A SOFTWARE FOR STATISTICAL SIGNAL PROCESSING
this software can be used for statistical signal processing.It is being developed in text mode
input: 1.the set of signals at equispaced time interval
(either user given/simulated)there is a subroutine within the software to simulate data
with gaussian or non gaussian error as options
2.what kind of signals(real compartental/undamped exponential)
3.hich method(newton/gauss-newton)
4.no of overlapings of signals
5.initial values of the parameters that is to be detected
6.error limitation
output:the final values of the parameters
MODIFYING GNU ZIP UTILITY
this project I had undetaken along with anshuman shankar, guruprasad iyer and manish anand
of mathematics department, the zipping utility seems to be somehow incomplete to us there
are many features missing in it. The features which we have targated to build within it are
1. impliment the -e (encrypt) option.
2. Make it convinient to define alternative user interface
3.Add a block (-b) option to improve error recovery in case of failure of a complete sector
Each block could be extended independently, but this reduces the compression ratio.
