| A Recent Event By Akiko Gendo I went and met the Ambassador from England at my school. He was tall and had a charming face and grey hair. My heart beat and I was a little nervous. He speaks Japanese fluently,so I thought maybe he knows Japanese more than me. Besides, he had worked for the United Nations before. I thought I am meeting an awful man now! He started to talk about economic cooperation between Japan and England, and about what Japanese young people should do now, and about the war in Afghanistan. I became concerned about my country when he talked. So, after I graduate from Sapporo University next year, I will think about what I can do about social problems. I have no idea now what to do, and I don't have a clear idea. Working contributes to helping social problems. |
