| Machida By Haruko Ueno. I'm from Machida, Tokyo.There are some beautiful parks there. I like them. I think it's a good place to live. I transfered to sapporo university last year from another university. Because I wanted to study English, live alone and go snowboarding!! I was majoring in English literature before I came here. It's boring to me. Well, maybe you know, I love snowboarding. Some wonderful ski grounds are near Sapporo!! There is plenty of space, powder snow, and it's not crowd. I want to be a good snowboarder. There are four people in my family ; my father, mother,a young sister and me. My father works at an office. He sometimes comes to Sapporo on bisiness. My mother is an elementary school teacher. My sister is 18 years old. She is holding out for her dream. Now I'm trying hard to find a job.. It's too hard for me. I'm thinking I want to find a job in Hokkaido. That's because I love Hokkaido. My Summer Vacation By Haruko Ueno This summer vacation I couldn't do anything special. I was disappointed. Well, my wonderful memory in this vacation was going to the fireworks in Sapporo and Obihiro. In Sapporo, I could see them rightt above me. It's so nice! I really enjoyed them. The trip to Obihiro was more impressive.I went there with my friends by car. On the way, there was a traffic jam, but we were excited. After arriving there, we ate Buta-don (pork on rice) t. We enjoyed it because we were so hungry. The fireworks were so beautiful and big!! They were very nice. We gave a shout of joy! On our way home, the greatest time of that day was still to come. We could see stars crearly at a mountain pass. We saw the Milky Way, shooting stars and countless stars. We were moved to see them. It was the most beautiful starlit sky I have ever seen in my life |
