SAPPHIRES AND SILK
       a*k*a "DIS KITTY"
Welcome to my little  spot on the web.  Come in, look around, make yourself at home, learn a little about me andddddddd one more thing.........

Hi everyone,!!! I guess if you are here then you must want to know a little bit about me. For starters, my real name is Debby and I am a soon to be divorced 40 year old mother of the four most beautiful children in the world, Jahrelle who is 13 and one of the sweetest kids around, Kenny who is 12 and my cuddly "Mr. Pooh", Monette who is 9 and absoultely gorgeous, smart, talented (DRAMA QUEEN!), and De Andrea who is 8, the baby of the crew and my precious, adorable angel.
I live in the Southern California Desert on the Arizona border right on the Colorado River. We have a boat  and I enjoy spending time on the river or on Lake Havasu with my family and friends. This is a fun place to live, even though we don't have the excitement that the "BIG CITY" has. (Dang, I have to drive for 45 miles just to go shop at Wal-Mart!)We find our own way to make fun out here in the middle of  nowhere!
When I get  bored with the  desert, I love to travel to Phoenix  which is only two hours away, to see friends, hit the clubs once in awhile, and window shop at the mall.

I  am a Health Specialist/Family Service  Advocate (Fancy name for Medical Social Worker) for the Colorado River Indian Tribes Head  Start Program I  love what I do because I get to work around our future.....CHILDREN.  I watch them enter the program as shy, crying  babies, then head off into the big world of public school with their heads held high and full of confidence. it is a very rewarding job, and I am  privileged to have it.

I love to travel, see new places, and meet new friends. In my book, strangers are just friends that I haven't met yet.  I am fortunate that I get to travel a lot on my job. Someday, maybe I'll be rich enough to walk barefoot in the sand on every beautiful beach the world has to offer.

I love to clown around and make people laugh, because I find my joy being around happy people. Being cruel or putting others down to try and make myself look better than someone just isn't a part of my make up. I have always been a lover, not a fighter. It takes too much energy to hate and hold a grudge, when laughter comes rolling out of me so easliy. Life is just too short to be bitter about anything.

I do not need fancy things to make me happy. Snuggling up on the couch close to someone I care for, or taking a long walk while holding hands and enjoying the beauty of  our surroundings can make me feel in heaven. The best date I ever had in my entire life was in a "WAFFLE HOUSE"  restaurant ...( no, I am NOT "country") , but because of the simple surroundings, I was able to focus all of my attention and energy on the person I was with. I even had fun getting caught in a  mid afternoon traffic jam with the same person, because we enjoyed each others company so immensely.

I have met so many friends in chat, and I have found out that they are just more then "words on a screen" They are  family to me, and I hope to meet each and every one of them someday. I would love to list each and every single person by name, but I know I would leave someone out, and I meet so many good people in there every day, that I would spend the rest of my life updating my page. You have  all touched me in one way or another, whether you were the people that made me welcome in "DA ROOM" (BLACK MEN FOR WHITE WOMEN, EBONY MEN FOR IVORY WOMEN, OR WHATEVER THE HELL IT'S CALLED TODAY!)made me laugh when I was down, kept me company when I felt all alone,  gave me advice, or listened when I needed  someone to talk to.  I  even love all of the ones that I have had a lil "DRAMA" with from time to time. My chat peeps are a one of a kind special group of people and I love each of you  and pray that your lives are filled with happiness, love, peace, and joy.
