Event Synopsis

The mini-caravan met as scheduled at 11:15 a.m. at the Chevron Gas Station at the Arden/Ethan Way intersection in Sacramento.  The always reliable Scamper was on hand, as was Tom and a few of his friends.

We chatted for about 20 minutes and waited for the (fashionably) late Craig and his '94 PGT, after which we took some pics - as you can see from the quality, i don't think that 200 speed Safeway film will be considered for any of our next meets :)

In the group shots, my car is on the left ('93 PGT), Tom's '94 PGT ATX is in the middle (a VERY clean Probe btw), and Craig's equally clean '94 PGT completes the trio on the right.  Scamper also brought his beautiful black Chevy S-10 Extreme truck, lowered to perfection, as are  most of his cars...

Once ready to go, it took about 3 minutes to arrive at the Autorama, which was held at the Cal-Expo fairgrounds.  Once inside, we spent the next two and a half hours in awe of the great collection of classics, hot rods and muscle cars (spread in 3 buildings).  Scamper's favorite was the audio building (not surprising).  Below are a collection of the cars we came across.
Here are a few pictures Scamper took of the Batmobile used in the original Batman TV series....study up on your TV history!
A few more pictures from the show, again taken by Scamper (it's time for us to get a digital camera!)...various roadsters, trucks...
And finally, for those of you who are Pokemon fans or know someone who is, here are the somewhat "interesting" pictures of the VW Bug 'Pikachu' mobile :-)
The meet adjourned around 2:30 p.m. as the skies threatened with rain and the wind was uncharacteristically cold for a Sacramento winter day.  Thank you to all who came out and made this a wonderful meet!
