Appearance: Elijah is tall and rather lanky with unruly deep brown hair, dark eyes and a dark complexion. He�s normally seen with some sort of facial scruff, and looks his age with the worry lines across his forehead and the lines on his face when he smiles. He often dresses professionally in dark slacks with dress shirts, sweaters or dress jackets with a tie. However, on his days off you might catch him in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. |

Personality: Elijah loves to learn. Even as a professor he becomes quite bored if he�s not learning something along with his students. He�s more of a hands on person as well. He tends to be an ungrounded person, floating from career to career all through out his life, but his personality is anything but flighty. He loves forms of debate and argument, and doesn�t hesitate when someone baits him for such. He is a very caring person by nature, having grown up in the situation he has, though he can stay bitter with someone for a very long time if they�d done something to hurt him. In general though he wishes to enjoy life, which might be the reason for him jumping from place to place, situation from situation. He�s been unable to find something just for him, but hopes to find that teaching at a magic school. |

History: Elijah was born to a young mother and father, and it was their age that caused the panic that led to Elijah�s father abandoning him and his mother before he was even born. Therefore he knows nothing of his father besides the fact he was a wizard and he might look something like him. Being Canadian born, he attended a magical private school in the mountains of Banff, through use of a scholarship awarded to him when he showed an unusual amount of grasp on magic for someone raised in a muggle community. However, the leap from a muggle society to a magical one was harder on Elijah then he had considered, and his grades suffered thus. Unable to continue to pay for Elijah�s education once the school no longer provided him with a scholarship due to his poor grades, he was removed from the school and sent to a small, public magic school on the west coast of B.C. From there he graduated with moderate marks, and for a change, he decided to travel for a year, going abroad to Europe and Asia. He met Alicia Grey in Spain, an American, muggle woman who had the same traveling idea as he did. They traveled from Madrid across Europe, and then down through Asia flying home from Japan. During their time together, Alicia conceived a child who was born 7 months later premature but survived. She was named Silvy Glorieta after the roundabout where Alicia and Elijah met in Madrid (Glorieta de Bilbao). Trying to make the whole thing work at their age, Elijah took up a job in muggle broadcasting while going to school part time at a muggle institute, graduating with a double major in Sociology and cultural relations at the University of Victoria. However, Alicia decided they couldn�t make things work, and she left, taking Silvy with her to America. Alone now, Elijah continued to go to school, taking up another career path towards communications since he had worked in broadcasting and television for some time, but it was Sociology and cultural studies that he got his PhD for. Upon completing his schooling, Elijah was offered a job at the University of British Columbia where he thought Sociology until getting tired of it. Being a wizard and living with muggles for so long was a rather tiring process so he decided to apply for a job within a magical community. At first he was working for the Ministry of magic in the muggle relations division� but he soon found that he missed being in a classroom setting and wanted to teach again. �Which is how he got to Sapienti University of Magic. |
