Interpreter Information

Here is a list of internet resource sites for Sign Language Interpreters (or for people who are learning sign language).
Often Interpreters from various regions have different signs used in that region.  Sometimes those signs cross over into other regions or a client from another part of the country will use a regional sign that the Interpreter in unfamiliar with.  This is a compilation of sites with various regional signs; it will be ever evolving and open to input.

Schools for the Deaf/Interpreter Training Programs (ITP)

There are a variety of places a person can train to become a Sign Language Interpreter.  Those progams are known as ITP's or Interpreter Training Programs.   Often schools for the Deaf (colleges and universities) offer ITP's; an opportunity to learn how interpret among deaf students.  It provides a first hand experience of Deaf culture and various signing styles and regional signs.
