The true mystery of the world is
the visible, not the invisible.

I am a fumbling practitioner of Buddhism.  Also an artist to the core and a quirky writer.

I love to play zen pool! The outdoor activities I love are soccer, running, hiking, yoga, dancing on rooftops, reading books by a creek, herding cows and picking vegetables.

Kind, humble, honest, sensitive people who love life makes me smile and dance.

Community is important to me.  I've spent some time in a planned community where everything is shared (well, almost everything).

I love the trees, the earth, rivers and air, so I'm a recycling fan!  I love moving water too...the magic and energy of the current of a river, the power of a thunder storm takes my breath away, the story of a wild creek, the calm of a country pond.  My favorite places are mountains and countrysides.

Something I really value is when a person has the strenth (of character) to change their perspective about a situation, especially when it feels bad or hard.  This is especially exemplified by the character Andy in the movie The Shawshank Redemption.  It's something I seek in others.  Since the movie is a fictional drama, which exaggerates a human condition, often people don't look to it as something they could practice in their own lives.  I do believe people can live up to this potential in harsh situations or even in everyday type situations (i.e., staying calm and happy in traffic, forgiving a person you'd like to 'strangle', working in harmony with people and the planet).  I have been able to accomplish these things, at first with hard work and much practice, but it gets easier with the practice.  Often it's still a continual practice for me, but it's a practice I enjoy and the benefits are astonishing.  It's also a philosophical topic I love to discuss.

That's all for now, maybe I'll update later.  :)
