It's a way for us to connect with other moms in our neighborhood. As we do the work of being home with our children (either full- or part-time), it really helps to meet our "co-workers!"
Our kids love making new friends, and our meetings provide moral support from others who share our experiences as moms. With our monthly calendar of activities, we feel like we have someplace to go, where "everybody knows your name!"
We share physical support too--like making meals for members with new babies or who have surgery. We swap toys, books, and kids' clothing. We do at least one service project each year to benefit other mothers and children in our community.
