Basic information

1. This page will provide nonprofessionals free basic information about eyes.
2. Each part of the eye will be described in short. This material will be divided into several chapters. Each chapter will be available on this web site for a month.
3. For the next month the next chapter will be on display and so on.
4. After the information on basic structure and function of the eyes has been given, common eye diseases will be covered with special emphasis on childhood eye diseases.
5. The main thrust will be on amblyopia, its prevention and main points regarding treatment.
6. Amblyopia is defined as defective vision in one or both eyes, which can not be accounted for.
7. Various chapters of this information will keep on rotating. This program will start in December 2004.
