Another Module! Sea Kayak 2! It was a bloody good month!! In Seakayak 2 you learn to rescue yourself and other in rougher conditions.... Rough --> 1.5 m swell. Besides that we also went for 2 amazing multi-day trips! One was the Abel Tasman, from North to South. The one in the last week, the plan was to circum-navigate D'Urville Island. These are the photo's of the trip 'around' D'Urville Isl. D'Urville is New Zealand 5 biggest Isl. Due to the weather, we couldn't go all the way round. We went up the West coast, and then the weather turned nasty. So, on the 3rd day, we sent the tutors along with the kayaks, on the back of an old Bedford, over the hill. And we, the student, did a 13km hike. Beautiful views!!! |
