Vlaardingen is de stad waar ik woon. Ik laat wat foto's zien van lichtmasten met hun armaturen die je kan vinden in Vlaardingen.
Vlaardingen is my hometown. I show some pictures of streetlights and fixtures you can find in Vlaardingen.

HPL-N = hogedrukkwik/ high pressure mercury vapour
SON = hogedruknatrium eivormig/ high pressure sodium oviod
SON-T = hogedruknatrium buisvormig/ high pressure sodium tube shaped
SOX= lagedruknatrium/ low pressure sodium
PL-L = compacte fluorescentie(TL)/ compact fluorescent.

Dit armatuur werd gemaakt door AEG. Het heet Koffer??(nummer weet ik niet) en is de voorloper van de Koffer 150. Het wordt niet meer gemaakt. Het was een erg populair armatuur eind jaren 60/begin jaren 70. Het heeft twee HPL-N lampen. Dit armatuur is op het moment al aardig uit het straatbeeld verdwenen hier maar er zijn nog wat straten over met lantaarnpalen met dit armatuur.

This luminaire was made by AEG. The name is Koffer??(nr I do not now) and is the precursor of the Koffer 150. Is out of production. It was a very populair fixture during the late 60s and early 70s. It houses two HPL-N bulbs. A lot of this luminaires are now replaced but there are some streets where you can find some streetlights with this luminaire, but I think not for long.

Dit armatuur heet Koffer 70 en is de kleinste in de Kofferserie van AEG. Dit armatuur wordt nog steeds gemaakt. Dit armatuur was erg populair geduurde de jaren 70, 80 en begin 90. Er was een klein dipje in populariteit midden jaren tachtig. Dit armatuur heeft een HPL-N lamp van 125 watt maar de meeste hebben een SON-lamp van 70(?) watt. Veel van deze armaturen zijn al vervangen maar ze zijn nog erg makkelijk te vinden in het straatbeeld. Dit armatuur verlicht ook de straat waar ik woon.

The name of this luminaire is Koffer 70 and is the smallest in the Koffer range of AEG. This fixture is stil in production. It was very populair in the 70ties, 80ties and 90ties, only mid 80 it was what less populair. On the picture the luminaire have a HPL-N lamp of 125 watts but the most have in Vlaardingen a SON bulb of 70(?) watt. Many of these luminaires are replaced but they are yet easy to find on lampposts. This fixture lit the street where you can find my home.

Het Koffer 150 armatuur van AEG was een erg populair armatuur eind jaren 70, 80 en begin jaren 90. Ook hier was een klein dipje midden jaren 80. This armatuur heeft een SON lamp van 250(?) watt. Ze zijn nog makkelijk te vinden maar sommige van deze armaturen zijn al vervangen door Industria Aurora-armaturen.

The Koffer 150 luminaire of AEG was a very popular luminaire during end 70ties, 80ties and early 90ties and was only what less mid 80ties. This fixture have a SON bulb of 250 (?) watt. It is easy to find but some are replaced by Industria Aurora luminaires.

Het koffer 250 armatuur is de grootste in de serie. Ze verschenen voor het eerst eind jaren 60 op palen en hadden tweemaal een HPL-N lamp van 250 watt. Later kwamen er ze ook met SON en door de energiecrisis ook met SOX. Op de foto heeft het armatuur tweemaal een SOX lamp van 90 watt. Veel zijn al vervangen maar ze zijn nog makkelijk op palen te vinden rond het havengebied.

The Koffer 250 luminaire is the biggest in de Kofferseries. They appeared on post fist end 60ties and have two HPL-N bulbs of 250 watt. Later they have SON bulbs and during the energy crises SOX. The fixture on the picture have two SOX lamps of 90 watt. Many of them are replaced but they are stil easy to find in the harbour area of Vlaardingen.

Dit is het kleinste maat armatuur van de Auroraserie van Industria Technische Verlichting. Op het moment er er maar 1 straat in Vlaardingen waar ik weet waar ze deze maat hebben. In het armatuur zit een SON-T lamp.

This is the smallest size fixture of the Aurorarange ( UK name is Vectra) of Industria Technische Verlichting. At the moment I know one street who have these size of the Auroraranges. The luminaire houses a SON-T bulb.

De middelmaat van de Auroraserie is erg makkelijk te vinden in Vlaardingen. Veel straten worden verlicht door dit armatuur. Veel Koffer 150 en Philips SRS 201 armaturen zijn vervangen door dit armatuur.In het armatuur huist een SON-T van 150 watt (denk ik).

The medium size of the Aurorarange is easy to find op posts in Vlaardingen. Many streets are lit by this fixture. Many Koffer 150 and Philips SRS 201 luminaires are replaced by this lantern. The fixture houese a SON-T lamp of 150 watt (I think)

Dit is het grootste model in de Auroraserie. Wat wegen rond station Vlaardingen-Oost hebben lantaarnpalen met dit armatuur. Ik denk dat er een SON_T van 400 watt in het armatuur zit.

This is the biggest size of the Aurora series. Some roads in the aera of railway station Vlaardingen-Oost have lampposts with this kind of luminaires. I think that in these luminaires houses a SON-T bulb of 400 watt.

Het SRS 201 armatuur van Philips was een erg populair in de jaren 80 en begin jaren 90. De eerste is een oudere versie van het armatuur. Er zijn drie maten en de middelmaat is het meest te vinden. Veel van deze armaturen zijn nu vervangen door Industria Aurora-armaturen. Meestal zit er een SOX lamp van 90 watt in het armatuur.

The SRS 201 luminaire of Philips was a very popular luminaire during the 80ties and early nineties. The first picture is an older version. There are three sizes of the luminaire and the medium size are used the most. A lot of these luminaires are nou replaced by Industria Aurora luminaires. The most SRS luminaires houses a SOX of 90 watt.

Het SGS 204 armatuur van Philips heeft veel AEG Koffer 250 (met 2x SOX 90) watt armaturen vervangen rond 1998/99. Daarna is het niet meer nieuw op palen verschenen. Het is te vinden op hoofdwegen in Vlaardingen. Deze lichtmast op de foto staat aan het beging van de Westlandseweg. De armaturen hebben een SON lamp van 250 watt.

The SGS 204 luminaire of Philips has replaced a lot of AEG Koffer 250 (with 2x SOX 90) luminaires round 1998/99. Lampposts with this kind of luminaire can you find at main roads in Vlaardingen. The streetlight on the picture can you find at the begin of the Westlandseweg. The fixtures have a SON lamp of 250 watt.

Het Hogro KFK armatuur met onderkap met kathedraalstruktuur was het eerste armatuur in Vlaardingen met een PL-L lamp. Het had een PL-L lamp van 24 watt en kwam in 1990 tot en 1993 op palen in Vlaardingen. Het heeft veel oude paaltoparmaturen vervangen met HLP-N en TL-E lampen. Sommige van deze armaturen zijn al weer vervangen door Industria 2000 (Friso Kramer) armaturen met een PL-L lamp van 24 watt.

The Hogro KFK luminaire wit a bowl with "cathedral structure" was te first fixture in Vlaardingen with a compact fluorescent. It houses a PL-L lamp of 24 watt and was used new in 1990 -1993.It has replace a lof of old lominaire with HLP-N and TL-E lamps. Some of these KFK luminairs again replaced by Industria 2000 (Friso Kramer) luminaires with a PL-L lamp of 24 watt.

Het Industria Friso Kramer/2000 armatuur is een veel gebruikt armatuur in Vlaardingen. Het verscheen voor het eerst in 1993 op palen en wordt nog steeds gebruikt voor nieuwe palen. Het heeft een PL-L lamp van 24 watt en de versie met ijsstructuur is de meest voorkomende maar in het centrum van de stad is er ook een versie te vinden met een opale onderkap. Vroeger had Vlaardingen ook de oude vorm van het Friso Kramer-armatuur maar die zijn allemaal allang vervangen* en ik heb er helaas geen foto van. *Ik was vergeten dat er nog een paar stonden rond het Holyziekenhuis in Vlaardingen. Zie tweede foto.

The Industria Friso Kramer/2000 luminaire is the most used posttop luminaire in Vlaardingen at the moment. It appear first on posts in 1993 and is still used on new posts. It have a PL-L lamp of 24 watt and the version with ice structure is the most used but in the centre of the town you can also find a version with an opal bowl. In the past has Vlaardingen also the old style Friso Kramer luminaires but all of them are replace* and I have no pictures of it. *I was forgotten that on the privat area of the Holyziekenhuis (hospital) are some leftovers. See second picture

Het Hogro PRT armatuur verscheen voor het eerst op palen in Vlaardingen in 1998 maar het model bestaat minimaal al zo'n twintig jaar. In Vlaardingen hebben ze een PL-L lamp van 24 watt en ze zijn vooral in straten te vinden rond het stadscentrum. Het heeft veel Hogro KFK armturen met een TL-E lamp vervangen.

The Hogro PRT luminaire appear in Vlaardingen on posts in 1998 but the fixture excist more than twenty years. In Vlaardingen they have a PL-L lamp of 24 watt en you can find them especiallly in street in the center of Vlaardingen. It have replaced a lot of Hogro KFK fixtures with a TL-E lamp.

Het Philips FGS 104 armatuur kan je veel vinden in Vlaardingen. Het heeft een PL-Lamp van 36 watt en het armatuur is veel gebruikt in de periode 1995 tot en met 1998. Het heeft veel AEG Koffer 70 en armaturen met SOX 35 watt vervangen.

The Philips FGS 104 luminaire was very populair during 1995 up to 1998. It has a PL-L lamp of 36 watt and have replace a lot of AEG Koffer 70 luminaires and fixtures with a SOX lamp of 35 watt.

Het Industria Iris armatuur is op het moment erg populair. Het verscheen in 1997 in Vlaardingen voor het eerst op palen. Het heeft een PL-L lamp van 36 watt en heeft veel AEG Koffer 70 armaturen vervangen. Er zijn drie maten van het armatuur. Kort, middellang en lang. Alleen middellang en lang zijn te vinden in Vlaardingen.

The Industra Iris luminaire is at the moment very populair. It appear on posts in Vlaardingen in 1997. It has a PL-L lamp of 36 watt and has replaced a lot of AEG Koffer 70 luminaires. There are three sizes of the luminaire. Short, medium and long. Only medium and long can you find in Vlaardingen.

Het Altra 2 armatuur van Schreder is een nieuweling in Vlaaringen. Het verscheen in 2001 voor het eerst op palen. Het heeft een PL-L lamp van 36 watt. In Vlaardingen kan je ook het Altra 3 armatuur vinden. Hetzelfde model alleen wat langer en heeft een PL-L lamp van 55 watt, zie tweede foto.

The Altra 2 luminaire of Schreder is a new model in Vlaardingen. It appear on posts first in 2001. The fixture has a PL-L lamp of 36 watt. In Vlaardingen can you also find the Altra 3 luminaire. The same model but longer and has a PL-L of 55 watt. See second picture.

Het Industria Padvinder armatuur is ook een nieuweling in Vlaardingen. Het verscheen in 2000 voor het eerst op palen in de stad. Het verlicht de fietspaden. Het armatuur heeft een PL-L lamp van 24 watt.

The Industria Padvinder luminaire is also a new model in Vlaardingen. It appear on posts first in 2000. The luminaire has a PL-L lamp of 24 watt and it is used to lit cycle paths in Vlaardingen.

Lantaarnpaal met tweemaal Philips SGS 201 armatuur. In de armaturen zit een SON lamp van 250 watt. Je kon het vinden in Vlaardingen op wat rondwegen maar veel zijn vervangen door Philips SGS 204 armaturen. Alleen bij wat parkeertereinen bij hoge galerijflats in de wijk Holy kan je ze nog vinden.

Lamppost with two Philips SGS 201 fixtures. The luminaires houses a SON bulb of 250. Most of them are replaced now by Philips SGS 204 luminaires but only in the district Holy in Vlaardingen can you find them on post on parkinglots by high rise appartment blocks.

Lantaarnpaal met een Hogro KKR armatuur. Vlaardingen is ook de enigste plek waar ik dit model hebt gezien. Het heeft een SOX lamp van 35 watt in het armatuur en was erg populair in Vlaardingen in de jaren 80. Veel zijn nu vervangen door PL-L armaturen en het is nu nog alleen te vinden rond Plein 1940* en langs de Eksterlaan. *Begin juni zijn rond Plein 1940 deze armaturen vervangen. Op de paal op de foto zit nu een Schreder Altra 2 verlichtingstoestel.

Lamppost with a Hogro KKR lantern. Vlaardingen is the only place where I know who has this luminaire. It has a SOX lamp of 35 watt and was very populaire in the 80ties. Now the most of them are replaced by fixtures with compact fluorescents and you can find is fixture now only around Plein 1940* and the Eksterlaan in Vlaardingen.
*At the begin of June 2002 are on Plein 1940 all of these fixtures replaced. On the post on the picture there is now a Schreder Altra 2 lantern.

Het Baculo armatuur van Philips kan je vinden op het Liesveldviaduct in Vlaardingen. Dit is ook de enige plek in Nederland waar ik dit armatuur hebt gezien. De Baculo-armatuur komt uit de Sevillaserie van Philips. Deze reeks was speciaal ontworpen voor de Wereldexpo in Sevilla in 1992.

The Baculo lantern of Philips can you find on the Liesveldviaduct in Vlaardingen. This is the ony place in Holland where I have seen this luminaire. The Baculo lantern is a part of the Sevilla series of Philips. These range was especially designed for the World Expo in Sevilla in 1992.

Rond het winkelcentrum Het Liesveld in Vlaardingen staan palen met Hellux 146 armaturen. Dit is de enige gebied waar je in Vlaardigen dit armatuur kan vinden. Je kan er ook een kleinere versie van het armatuur daar vinden, nl. de 145 armatuur van Hellux.

Arond the The Liesveld shopping area you can find on posts the Hellux 146 luminaires. This is the only place in Vlaardingen where you can find these lanterns. You can also find in that area the 145 lantern of Hellux. Same model but smaller.

Het Philips SGS 203 armatuur verscheen rond 1998 voor het eerst op palen in Vlaardingen, al hoewel het al bestaat sinds midden jaren 80. Het verlichtingstoestel op de foto heeft een SON lamp van 70 watt maar de meeste hebben een SON lamp van 150 watt.

The Philips SGS 203 lantern appear arond 1998 for the first time on posts in Vlaardingen but the model excist since mid 80s. The lantern on the picture has a SON lamp of 70 watt but the most of them have a SON lamp of 150 watt.

Het Industria 2600 armatuur kan je vinden op palen langs de Watersportweg in Vlaardingen. Dit is ook de enige plek in Vlaardingen waar je dit model kan vinden. Het armatuur heeft een SOX lamp van 35(?) watt.

The Industria 2600 luminaire can you find on post at the Watersportweg in Vlaardingen. This is the only road with this lantern in Vlaardingen. The luminaire have a SOX lamp of 35(?) watt.

Op een stuk van de rondweg door Vlaardingen kan je het langste model vinden van het Philips SRS 201 armatuur, dit is ook de enigste plek in Vlaardigen waar je dit langste model kan vind. Het verlichtingstoestel heeft een SOX lamp van 135 watt..

On a part of the ring road in Vlaardingen you can find the longest model of the Philips SRS 201 series, this the only place in Vlaardingen where you can find the longest version. The lantern have a SOX lamp of 135 watt.
