Yard & Garden
It's been a "work in progress"
for the past 18 years.

From a grassy "nothing" area,
on it's way to being a sanctuary
for the birds, bugs, and....us!

The area expands and changes yearly,
containing now well-eatablished perennials and shrubs.

What a wonderful retreat!
GARDEN  - LOOKING BACK  August 2002
Visitors.......we get visitors......
Some of the highlights..the stars of the show, as it were.
"There can be no very black melancholy to him who lives in the midst of nature and has his senses still"

-Thoureau
STRANGE - Mildred Bowers Armstrong

Strange - to grow up and not be different
Not beautiful, or even very wise...
No winging-out the way of butterflies,
No sudden blindfold-lifting from the eyes,
Strange - to grow up and still be wondering,
Reverent at petals and snow,

Still holding breath,
Still often tiptoe,
Questioning dew and stars,
Wanting to know!
