It's been a "work in progress" for the past 18 years. From a grassy "nothing" area, on it's way to being a sanctuary for the birds, bugs, and....us! The area expands and changes yearly, containing now well-eatablished perennials and shrubs. What a wonderful retreat!

"There can be no very black melancholy to him who lives in the midst of nature and has his senses still" -Thoureau
STRANGE - Mildred Bowers Armstrong Strange - to grow up and not be different Not beautiful, or even very wise... No winging-out the way of butterflies, No sudden blindfold-lifting from the eyes, Strange - to grow up and still be wondering, Reverent at petals and snow,
Still holding breath, Still often tiptoe, Questioning dew and stars, Wanting to know!
