I was born at Ranchi on 21-January-1976. Ranchi is located in the southern part of the Bihar State, separated by 400 Kms from Kolkata and is well connected to all major Indian cities by Rail, Road and Air. Ranchi is a small city situated in the Chotanagpur Plateau region, the climate being very pleasant it once used to be the summer capital of Bihar and is the capital city of the newly created state "Jharkhand". This Industrial city headquarers SAIL R&D, Heavy Engineering Corporation, Central Coalfields Limited, Metallurgical Engineering Consultant (MECON) and Coal India Limited. Two of the India's biggest Steel Plants Bokaro Steel Plant and Tata Steel, India's largest automobile plant TELCO is situated within 100 Kms radius of this city.

I did my schooling at Guwahati (1980-1984) and Patna (1984-1991). In 1991 I moved to Ranchi along with my family members for my Junior College. 1993, I was selected in the JEE' entrance exam and opted for Metallurgical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. The four years (1993-1997) at Kanpur were really fantastic, the best part of my life. It was the first time I was in the hostel 1000 miles away from my family members. Apart from the initial home sickness, rest of my stay was quite enjoyable. I made some of my best friends there. Time flew past like anything. Last year of our graduation' and it was full time masti, lots of daaru sessions, bulla sessions, movies, parties. We fell short of time. Finally came the 25-July-1997' our Convocation, and it was all over.

I was offered a job in Indian Oil Corporation Limited which I joined on 1-September-1997. Since then I am working with IOCL at the Gujarat Refinery installation at Baroda.
