| The yellow flower said to me, I have a gift for you. I hesitated for a while, But then sat down to see. It whispered to me, Come close and smell. I leaned into its field. A sweet sensation shielded me From the world from which I came. As the flower cried, Hold my hand. I touched a petal soft. Even then I did not realize How lonely Id become. As I attempted to walk away, A tear fell from its face. This yellow flower that spoke to me Was human in its grace. I lingered there til night had come - I tarried til the dusk. I live my life before the world Just like the yellow flower. |
