| The Children of the Atom are a different species. They are not Homo sapiens, but Homo superiors. They are mutants with altered genetic make-up and as a result they are gifted with strange powers and special abilities. |
| Most mutants believe that they should be the rulers of the world, because of their superior abilities and amazing powers. That causes a conflict between them and the rest, namely between mutants and the humans. A genetic war is about to take place and someone has to stop it. |
| X-Men are mutants too, but unlike the rest of the mutants they use their powers for the betterment of mankind. Gathered and trained by Professor Xavier, who possesses the world's most powerful mind, they are in defense of the world against the mutant Magneto, the Master of Magnetism and would-be conqueror of the world. |
