Formally Sandys Handraised Birds
Why Choose a Handraised Baby Bird?
It is always best to buy from a breeder rather than a pet store. Usually (not always) pet stores don't know very much about the birds they are selling and often give out the wrong information which could ultimately endanger your pet bird. Always do research, never rely on the advice of pet store employees.
Also, pet stores have a 300-400% markup on their birds so you will be paying much less for a much tamer handraised baby. Even handraised birds sold to pet stores tend to gradually lose their tameness if left in that environment very long with a cage full of birds, and without much quality human interaction and attention.
Handraised birds have a strong devoted bond with their owners where as parent raised birds tend to always be fearful or guarded.

A hand raised baby is a pet the day you take him home. He will sit on your hand, let you pet him and cuddle him, and should not try to bite.
