| This whole area has been built up over the past few years. ET is located directly to the back of the person taking this picture. This is where the busses and dolmuses stop, right on one of the main throughways of Istanbul - E5. To the right and below, some of my students in classrooms at the Sirinevler location cira 1998. IT should be noted that the ET Sirinevler location has changed since the 1999 earthquake. It moved to the Kultur bulding beside it, I believe. | Below, a scene I know all too well! In the evening, catching public transportation to take me home. ET is in the building on the right hand side. On the other side of the highway is the upscale neighbourhood of Atakoy - quite a bit different from Sirinevler even though it's only seperated by a highway! There is a nice Western mall that I'd go to every once in a while for expensive food. There are many excellent places to eat right in Sirinevler. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
