From what I can translate in my drunken-child Turkish, the Bakirkoy branch has been open since 1977.  In 1984, they opened Kadikoy, on the Asian side.  In 1991, they kicked it up a notch and opened the beautiful Besiktas branch you see above.

The Dilko Bakirkoy branch is a charming little outfit, just off the train tracks with a nifty courtyard inside.  When I popped in there to enquire about openings, I noticed a largely British staff.  In fact, at that time, there were only Brits and an Aussie or two.
Teacher Opinions and Experiences

"...the only school I can really reccommend is good old Dilko in Bakirkoy.."
"...ok salary, better than any Turkish teacher's salary, though a bit piddly for Istanbul lingo schools.  You can live fairly well on it but not extravagently."

"I met with Mark from Dilko, he was a very nice guy, very relaxed and casual.  He's been in the ELT business for a long time...Dilko Istanbul wasn't doing so well, but he is very honest about what they need..."

"I would suggest that the salary...is well below average especially in Istanbul also if you have any kind of experience, qualifications to your name...
