| "What should I do in order to travel long-distance with my (medically fragile) child?" |
| (May 7, 2000) The following question is from Denise Bartlett, from Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. Denise's three year old son, Tyler, has Moebius syndrome. Denise is planning on attending the Moebius conference, and would like some ideas regarding the following concern: "Are there other children with Moebius travelling from other countries, in particular, Canada? What have you needed to consider for medical insurance coverage? Tyler has a trach, g-tube, ventilator, etc, etc. I am not sure how this will affect travel, accom. and especially medical insurance. Any advice would be appreciated. thanx, Denise" ([email protected]) If you have knowledge re: travel requirements, medical coverage, etc., please share them with Denise and the rest of us. THANKS! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Even though the conference is past, other parents will probably want information such as this. If you have any words of wisdom, please share them with the rest of us! [email protected]) UPDATE ON TRAVELING WITH MEDICALLY FRAGILE CHILD...
