| (by Sandy Goodwick) Last week, Tom Voorheis forwarded an email to me that was from a second grade teacher. One of her students had Moebius, and she had questions regarding how Moebius may affect her education. I wrote her back and provided my 2 cents worth of knowledge, and included a link to "letter to my teacher" on Joan Fleitas' "Band-aides and Blackboards" website. WELL .... let me tell you, that little second grader (Dallas) is NOT letting the grass grow under her feet! Despite all the dire predictions doctors initially made when she was little, (does that sound somewhat familiar?) Dallas started her own BUSINESS. She was a whopping Kindergartner! Dallas' mom, Lindi, sounds like she is an A #1 advocate - not only for Dallas but for other kids in their school system who happen to have disabilities.
