| (editor's note - During the past few years, people with Moebius have begun to gather together for weekends or vacations that include, among other things, the opportunity to share about the 'Moebius Experience' while also having a wonderful time together. The following is from a few of our world-wide friends who are thinking ahead in order to plan more gatherings... ) From Rebecca Deas, in the UK... ([email protected]) "... I thought it would be a good idea to have a adult weekend here in the UK with no pressure. Just us chillin and enjoying ourselves. Louise Brunt sent me a letter last year to say HI and that she had the syndrome too. It turns out that she lives only 15 minutes from my house! AMAZING! I found it better to talk to Louise in conversation while we were talking about shopping and clothes etc etc. That's why I thought of the idea.... In your newsletter Sandy there is a get together in New York. I would love to go to New York. If I had people to talk to and to show me the sights and shops (i.e people who have moebius) I would jump at the chance with open arms and come over to see you guys.... I'm trying to organise an adult moebius weekend next year. We have a suggestion of centreparcs. Are there any other ideas? or Are there any adult moeibus people interested?" =========================================================== Peggy Bakalo (one of the people who planned the past Moebius conference, in Sturbridge) and I were talking ... Peggy and I, and several other adults with Moebius including Leslie Van de Car, Jan Law, Victoria Raistrick, and Melanie Lo Presti, "did" Florida - from Tallahassee in the north to Key West way down South. (Peggy met us in Tallahassee, and we met Jim and Martha Walker and son, Michael, in Key West). We had such an awesome time together - doing fun things and talking about Moebius stuff .... it was an utter and complete BLAST. Anyway, Peggy knows New England and is interested in planning a gathering there, possibly for next summer. With cheap air fares being available via priceline.com, etc., one can travel from virtually anywhere and spend a great vacation time with other friends both new and old. It looks like all you Moebians out there ALREADY have two possible vacation destinations for the coming summer. PLAN NOW to spend some quality and great times together getting to know one another while "doing" the area! Do you want to join other Moebians (either adults or families) "somewhere"?
