This has been the trip of a lifetime that we (me, Peter and Ali) will never forget. Here are afew of the very fascinating facts that made it so special!

Northernmost:

University in the world.
Brewery in the world (Tromsoe).
Wine cellar in the world.
Scheduled flight in the world.
Northernmost streak in the world.

And we were closer to the North Pole than the Arctic Circle!

DAY SEVEN (19th)

Got up fairly early, had breakfast then walked into town with all our cases! Bought some duty-free vodka and 1200 cigarettes! Went a wander round the shops then headed to the Polar Hotel for some more complimentary coffee. Got the bus to the airport which is more of a a hanger! Flight was nice, saw some huge pieces of drifting ice and snowy mountains. Got to Tromsoe, this time we had booked accommodation! Got to Hotel Nord and dumped our stuff and headed out for dinner, i had Fettuchini with all kinds of seafood including scallops and catfish, had a couple of beers, then headed to the cinema to see Traffic. We went to the cinema, bought our tickets, only to find the screen we wanted was in another part of town! After a mad rush, we made it and settled down, the film was looking good but as usual I fell asleep! Headed home during film and was filmed by Ali later that night snoring my head off!

DAY EIGHT (20th)

Got up for breakfast, headed for the bus to Narvik. Trip wasn't so bad this time cos we had plenty of room and the scenery was nice both inside and outside the bus! Got to Narvik, did a bit of shopping to use up Norwegian money, bought typical lads stuff, beer, nuts and Norwegian porn as I had been instructed to by my very pushy friends back home! Our plan was to drink the 1.25l beers on the train, perhaps accompanied by some cheap vodka and go to cleo when we arrived at 10pm. Got home, continued drinking and headed out, obviously taking some vodka with us! After drinkin the vodka we were totally steamin and went on the prowl! I pulled some girl that looked like Britney Spears! Went to MacDonalds, got taxi home, slept like hell!

21st April

Got up at lunchtime to get bus downtown to collect photos from recent trips. Went on computers to add new pictures to my website. Played a game of football outside for the first time this year, on the pitch that used to be our ice hockey rink, which had melted while we were away! Watched video of trip, had a few drinks then headed to K�ren (students union) where we got fairly drunk then staggered home, just a usual Saturday night for us then?!
