About our CLP...

When we first began work on our CLP for an application for The Alpine School, we decided to work on redesigning the storm water drain "traps" that trap the litter and prevent it from entering the bay. When we were informed that our application was successful, we did some research and discovered that a marine sanctuary was declared at Ricketts Point. With assistance from Mr. Bob Whiteway, we incorporated this sanctuary into our project, and are now using it as a basis for the work.

A month or 2 after first receiving information from Mr. Whiteway, we decided that it would be too difficult for 5 year 9 students to redesign and build a litter trap, so we redesigned our project so that we educate the community on the effects of storm water pollution on the bay, until we can get further support to begin work on the actual designing part of the project.
