About this Movement
Hi.. My name is Sandy, creator of this Movement.  I am not an alcohol or hard drug user, but a victim in a society of alcohol and hard drug abuse...  from which, I obtained post traumatic stress disorder, an illness formerly known as "shell shock".  Life experience has taught me, in short, the following:

Heroin equals death.  Crack steals morals.  Alcohol creates violence.
               Marijuana creates peace.

The United States has been deprived long enough of higher education, new technology, justice, liberty, PROTECTION FROM DEADLY DRUGS, economical revenues and the "truth".  The truth being that marijuana does not cause devestation, danger or deaths as does alcohol, tobacco and hard drugs and that marijuana prohibition has only created a long string of injustices and deprivations to our country.

Marijuana was placed in a class equal to heroin.   After review, this was found irrational and it was then moved to a class with crack.  Still irrational and in desperate need of review.  Apparently, however thankfully, our lawmakers have never seen the inside of a crackhouse.   God help the people who reside there.  We cannot continue to teach young Americans that marijuana is equal to these drugs.  There is no comparison and it does not send a clear and distinct message of the dangers or purpose of federally prohibited drugs.

Further, we cannot effectively prevent dangerous and deadly drugs from entering and destructing our country, when we are busy fighting this non-deadly substance used by millions of people worldwide for thousands of years without harm.   When narcotics control began, and when alcohol was outlawed because of the dangers it caused to society and to families, marijuana was considered as a very valuable resource, not a dangerous and deadly drug we must take action to protect the citizens against.

This Movement respectfully requests all of those not directly familiar with marijuana or the devestations caused by hard drugs throughout the United States...  to keep an open-mind when examining marijuana issues.  This will result in a fair, rational, honest evaluation and most likely, once again, place marijuana in its proper perspective and dangerous, deadly, federally prohibited drugs in theirs.

From the time marijuana was illegalized, there have been protests.  Still, today, there are protests.   There is a reason.  Please learn the facts.

Finally, I'd like to say that at times I've felt spiritually moved to create this Movement and that... while I was painting the white stripes on the logo leaf, I felt a bit like Betsy Ross may have while she was sewing the stars on our flag made of hemp.   A feeling of satisfaction and love.

Have a pleasant day.  Smile.  Love.  Be Happy.  Because you can.  It's your choice.  Peace.
If you or someone you know's life has been damaged by the destruction caused from alcohol or hard drug abuse, please refer to the following link:  www.12steps.org Learn everything there is to know about this program... take from it only what you like...  and you will see brighter days.
