So you want to learn about the world of Role Play eh? Well I hope what I have to say helps you learn and understand it well. Rp isn't hard to learn and a fun past time.
To begin role playing you must have a character to play. I suggest you look around through pictures before you decide. Once you have the picture, base your character's looks on it then the rest is up to your imagination. Mold your character into whatever you wish. There is no limit to what it can be. Well there is one limit.. try not to be too god like. Other rpers tend to hate that sort of thing especially when your fighting.
After you have your character now what you ask? Well go to a rp chatroom and test it out. All that is left is your actions as that character. Which is simple, there are many forms to do so but the most common are using the * and :
Exp: Say you want to put you spot a deer in a forest right? Then you would write it something like this
*Strolls through the forrest and spots a deer eating some vegitation*
or
::Runs into the tavern, fearing what is chasing behind her::
Of course the her changes if your character is a male.
Pretty simple huh? Well there isnt supposed to be alot of confusing stuff when having fun. So go try it out. Remember all it is, is a character you made up and your acting out. So its like being a writer and your giving that character life. Don't stick to just humans, let your imagination free and rp whatever creature you want. Have fun with what you have learned here.
