I Promise I promise I'll always be there when you need me, And I promise I'll even be there when you don't. I promise I'll be with you to show you what you can't see, And I promise I'll show you a world others won't. I promise I'll love you for the rest of time, And I promise I'll love you long after that. I promise I'll hold you in hard times and make everything fine, And I promise I'll have a shoulder ready when you're holding tears back. I promise I'll hand you my whole world and trust you like no one before, And I promise I'll give you all I have to give. I promise one day a ring like this will mean so much more, And I promise you'll be happy for as long as we both shall live.
The Perfect Rose, The Perfect Love It doesn't have the same scent, And it isn't moist to the touch, But its petals will never wilt and bend... This rose will last forever. The clear stem; colorless; long. It's the road we have traveled. A single thorn along the way, something is wrong... A slight prick to the finger, and blood wells up. But you see the stem continues going up, To the lush leaves, the beautiful red. The flower. The beauty. Us! Permanently bloomed, deep red for all time. This rose is our lives... a journey to be happy; together. So wait we bloom, But like the rose, we are forever. This love will last forever!
Nothing Without Her God awoke me in my sleep one night, And He asked me what a million dollars was worth. I told Him, "Nothing without her." God looked at me, seeing a soul with fight, And He asked me, "What would you say to her if she were here?" I replied simply, with no second thoughts whatsoever; "The world is a little colder now, and the sunlight isn't as bright as it was. But I know you still love me, so there's hope. The look in your eyes, and the feel of your touch....us. Nothing is as good without you, I just can't cope." God was taken aback, and thought of another question to answer. "What is eternal life worth?" I looked Him in the eye and repeated, "Nothing without her" God looked puzzled at first, and started to chuckle with a smile. "You'll have to wait for her, it just can't be right now." Looking Him in the eyes I told Him "I'd wait an eternity, forever and longer." God said "Not quite so long, but not quite so easy. You'll have to run that last mile." I smiled and knew it was meant to be so, I'd be with her again in time, and the mere thought makes me stronger.
