Well your humble pagemaster, Sandman Loganfive, has returned after a long hiatus and bout with Internet withdrawal. Seems some jobless bums like myself are actually good for something if they are lucky enough to land a job. I somehow landed a management position at a local movie theater and it's kept me offline since the begining of October. Well now I'm back and I haven't forgotten my devotion to Transformers, or more aptly Transformers Robots in Disguise. When last I left I was in a transaction to recieve the Japanese Beast Wars Neo Dirge and Thrust, which I am happy to report arrived from overseas and were promptly opened. I am unhappy to report however that the two smartcards for my digicam died and I will not be able to post new pictures of my collection in action until my brother, the computer wizard, investigates where I screwed up. Nevertheless my website is now horribly out of date and needs some new rants to satisfy you and yours (oh and to vent more ideas that tick away in my less than idle mind). So where has the hobby moved since I was here? Looks like the rampant buying season of Christmas has had my local retailers stocked to the gills with new merchandise only to have it leave almost as fast as it was stocked. Therefore this season looks like it's going to make a lot of children and Transformer fans very happy! One of my local stores had topstock piles of about 4 feet high vanish in less than two weeks time. They had piles upon piles of the $5 spychangers/military combiners, $10 robots like Mega-Octane, the Car Brothers, and the Autobot builder combiners, the coveted $15 trains (Midnight Express, Railspike, & Rapid Run) with some Predacon 3-packs & SkyByte, and last but not least $30 Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus! No signs of the $20 Megatron or the $10 Decepticon jet /Autobot car twopacks (Skid-Z, Towline, Skyfire, & Windsheer). Two recent promos/sales of late are the Target sale of 15% off all Transfomers stock (plus $11.88 for the $15 sizes), and Mountain Dew's 24 packcube with $5 off coupons towards any $15 or more purchase of Transformers (or G.I.Joe). These have made my re-entry into toy buying very smooth. A few of my friends will swear I said something along the lines of "I will never buy more toys ever again, they are a waste of my income". Of course at the time I was a jobless bum with no income, so it goes without saying that now that I have an income it's going back into toys where my true love and devotion remain.
