Ok, here we have the complete lineup of Generation 2 Go-Bots and RID Spychangers. The first row: Blowout, Firecracker, Gearhead, Highbeam, Motormouth, & Doubleclutch (All Autobots) The next set: Megatron (Decepticon) & Optimus Prime (Autobot). The third set: Frenzy (D), Sideswipe (A), Soundwave (D), Bumblebee (A), Ironhide (A), & Mirage (A). The final set is the Car Robots 2000/Robots In Diguise 2001 lineup: Hotshot, R.E.V., W.A.R.S., Crosswise, Ironhide, & Mirage.
The last six are in my personal collection. If a deal I'm working on goes through the only remaining G2 Go-bots I need are Firecracker, Highbeam, Megatron, Optimus Prime, & Frenzy. I think it will be lots of fun having a virtual army of Autobots at Optimus Prime's command. I suppose I will have to rename my G2 Optimus Prime as Optimus Minor :) I'll probably rename my G2 Megatron as Shockwave. I'm a little up in the air about what I will do with the G2 Ironhide and Mirage, probably Trailbreaker and Sunstreaker. Plus I think it would be cool to have "Reinforcements from Cybertron". G1 fans might remember that title as the name of the first send away catalog with which to redeem robot points. Personally I think these G2 cars are alot cooler than the Omnibots ever were. Editor's note 8/29/01: The Omnibots were in fact very cool, it was the powerdashers I was thinking of that are oh so lame!
Also with this army of mini-bots I think I'll have a whole G1 feel. Back in G1 almost all the mini-bots were used twice: Bumblebee Red and Yellow, CliffJumper Yellow and Red, Brawn and Outback. Anyhow there were lots of Autobot Mini-bots. Plus with a few Decepticons thrown in there you get the whole Spy feeling from when the thermal rub stickers were introduced. I remember there being a commercial where the Autobots weren't sure if the mini-bot was on their side so they grab him and rub his thermal rub to see his alignment. I don't know if that's a real commercial or not but that's how I remember the introduction of the thermal rubs.
So hopefully soon I'll have all the G2 Go-Bots at my command. They will be manning Ultra Magnus and the tower that comes with Optimus when he's in his G1 Tribute form.
