The sun beats like a drifting heart high within� the sky, the mantis clan members all find ways to kill time here in Fitstral. Mantis is nowhere to be found ever since his confrontation with Sato Konji and Hinata Mitszu that started as a bad heated discussion that led to Syn DeClarion getting involved to prevent a fight from breaking out between the three of them. Syn is now nowhere to be found either, and for that matter�Araign�e and little Lucy Centaloris both had seemed to disappear right along with him. Damien Draven and Faye Valentine sit in the shade to one of the several wooden huts to keep cool. Faye Valentine � Ok, I�ve got one. In a fight between Mantis and Linca�who do you think would win? �A moment to pause to ponder such a question occurs� Nightstalker � That�s a good one, Linca has the ability advantage of invisibility over Mantis but she can�t hit Mantis while she�s in such a state. Linca is a mixed martial artist that knows combined offense and defense�she�s defense followed by split second offense unlike Mantis whom is one hundred and ten percent defense. I�m not saying that Mantis would win, but I think Linca would have trouble defeating him. �Faye slowly nods her head while casting a gaze out into the sun� Nightstalker � If I had to put gold on it? I wouldn�t�that�s for sure. �Faye looks to Damien and smirks before speaking softly� Faye Valentine � Ok, fair enough. I�ve got another one. Sato vs. Souichiro�wherever he went off to that is. �Without a moment of hesitation Damien answers� Nightstalker � Sato�hands down. It�s the difference between man and vampire. Sato�s naturally faster, stronger and all he would have to do is bite the man and it would be over�regardless of how much of a fight Souichiro puts up. Okay, check this out�I�ve got a good one�Syn DeClarion vs. Lord Sukinahito. �Faye�s confident expression fades away almost immediately� Faye Valentine � Oh�Damn�that�s tough. Ugh�I would have to say Lord Sukinahito. I mean it�s the matter of putting a vampire against a God. I think Sukinahito would take it because he�s faster and better at hand to hand combat. I mean yeah, Syn is sick with a sword but if Sukinahito has mastered the art of disarming armed opponents then you would imagine that Syn would be in trouble with the likes of Lord Sukinahito anyway you look at it. �Damien nods his head but cautiously and slowly� I got one for you�how about you versus me, Draven??? Kyren Tomokashi comes encroaching into the conversation, he walks up to the steps where they sit lazily back on. Kyren smirks at Damien and Faye quirks a brow and throws in her two cents even before Damien has the chance to register what Kyren just said to him. Faye Valentine � No offense but Damien would beat you senseless Kye� Kyren Tomokashi � Is that so? Well, how about we test that theory? Faye stares at Kyren like he�s lost his damn mind ever since he came out of that coma not so long ago. Damien looks up at Kyren from his sitting position on the steps and he shrugs before slowly standing up, seeming to find no interest in sparring with Kyren but since Faye is sitting right here next to him, he�s not about to get discriminated against by refusing an open challenge such as this. Faye Valentine � Oh man, this is going to be good. HEY! Everybody!!! Over Here!!! We�ve got a Spar going on!!! Kyren Tomokashi turns and walks a few feet away from the hut and out into the open sun while Faye gathers a crowd. The best thing about sparring one another within� the confinement of the mantis clan members is the fact that everybody gets some kind of entertainment and they also learn other techniques and fighting styles by observing from a bystanders point of view. Sato Konji, Hinata Mitszu, Maigo Ikeda, Kentai Tolbarrion and Callisto Draven come running to watch the two men square off. Nightstalker � You sure this is what you want? Kyren Tomokashi � Yeah�I�ve got what it takes to beat you. Damien smirks and slowly nods his head while staring down at the ground for a moment. Callisto sits down next to Faye, sitting exactly where Damien was resting beside her before he got up to accept Kyren�s challenge. Hinata and Sato, Kentai and Maigo�they all get into the shade, sitting on the deck of the very hut that Faye and Callisto observe from the stoop of. Draven pulls his shirt off and tosses it over to Faye and she catches it before looking to Callisto with a positive smile forming on her face. Nightstalker � Be warned then�I will not go easy on you. Kyren Tomokashi � I wouldn�t expect any-less out of you, Damien. Nightstalker � Ok, I�m just making sure. Damien and Kyren walk in circles for a moment then they both stop, waiting for somebody to signal for the fight to start. Maigo in this case scoots off the deck and walks to where they�re about to start fighting. She raises her arm and then draws it down in a vertical motion while yelling. Maigo Ikeda � FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maigo quickly gets out of the way as Damien dashes at Kyren in a burst of speed, right past Kyren he skids in the dirt behind him before coming to a stop and sweep kicking at the back of Kyren�s knee�s�taking his feet out from underneath him and driving his back to the dirt. Kyren kicks his feet up into the air and quip-flips back up to his feet again only for Damien to rise and tackle him right back down again. Faye Valentine � I don�t know what he was thinking by challenging Damien to a sparring match�you�re cousin is one of the best hand-to-hand combatants I�ve ever seen before in my life. Your boy can move Callisto� Damien and Kyren scrape around on the ground for a moment before Damien manages to get top mount position, sitting on Kyren�s stomach. He grabs a hold of Kyren�s left arm and applies an arm bar but Kyren then counters by rolling Damien to his back there in the dirt. Draven locks his ankles behind Kyren�s back, now in bottom guard position while having his left arm tied up. Kyren gets up to his feet and Damien makes a quick and sudden shift by unlocking his ankles to elevate his back, he kicks one of his legs up and over Kyren�s shoulder before locking them at the ankles again. Maigo Ikeda � Triangle hold!!! Triangle hold!!! Get out of it Kyren! Kyren struggles and lifts Damien�s back up off the ground before slamming him back down into the dirt and hard. Damien frowns and tenses his legs up, tightening the lock on the submission hold�forcing Kyren and wince in pain before Damien proceeds onward by rolling backward, flipping Kyren to his back on the ground�Damien tightens the arm bar on the very arm that secures the Triangle hold. Kyren taps out. Sato Konji � Damn!!! An arm bar AND a triangle hold�all in one. That was nice� Damien releases the triangle hold on Kyren and gets back up to his feet. Kyren stands and starts throwing punches at Damien whom gets hit by the first one, shaking his vision blurry for a second�Damien spins completely around, shaking his head from the sucker punch and right when he was offering his hand to show good sportsmanship. Everyone becomes alarmed the second Kyren attacks Damien. Kentai stands there, listening and feeling the aggression of what was a sparring match that had abruptly switched into a real fist fight�Faye goes to get involved but Sato places a hand on her shoulder to stop her. She looks at Sato with a pissed off look on her face and he shakes his head in return to keep her out of it. Nightstalker � What the fuck was that for!? Kyren Tomokashi � We aren�t done YET!!! I�m just getting started!!! Nightstalker � ALRIGHT!!!! That�s it�let�s go, Bitch!!! Damien shakes his vision clear and straight again before standing back up to his feet to glare at an oncoming Kyren Tomokashi, the speed of Kyren is well but not good enough as he attempts a roundhouse kick aiming for Damien�s head. Damien ducks under the kick, then spins around and thrusts his knuckles into Kyren�s lower back while he�s still in mid flight. Kyren lands and staggers a little before Damien jumps at him and spin kicks him in the head, saliva sprays from Kyren�s mouth as he gets sent twisting to the dirt. Upon impact with the ground, Damien jumps on him and starts ground and pounding him. Punching him and hard, time after time. Maigo Ikeda � Ugh�Guys? Maybe we should break this up now�? Kentai Tolbarrion � Yes, I can sense that this is getting out of control� Faye Valentine � Fuck that! Kyren started it�Damien is going to finish it� Sato Konji � Ok�I see blood! It�s finished. Time to end this� Hinata Mitszu � Alright guys! Time to break it up!!! BREAK IT UP!!! Callisto Draven � oh no�please�stop fighting you two� Damien gets in two more blows, breaking the skin underneath Kyren�s right eye and forcing him to bleed with both strikes. Shaking Kyren up and pretty bad, Damien continues to blast him with powerful ground and pound blows until Sato and Hinata both rush to the fight. Sato grabs Damien�s strong arm and Hinata grabs the other and upon pulling him up and off of a bloodied up Kyren Tomokashi, Damien gets in a kick�kicking him in the ribs, sending Kyren into a roll away and to his stomach. Hinata Mitszu � That�s enough Damien� Sato Konji � Yeah man, chill out�ok? It�s over man�it�s over� Damien pulls from both Hinata and Sato�s grip and he walks away from the party, leaving Kyren face down in the dirt�spitting blood from his mouth, barely conscious. His face already bruising and swelling up where Damien landed his blows�Callisto grabs Damien�s shirt and she follows Damien along with Faye. Away from everybody else that remains there tending to Kyren Tomokashi while he remains laying there face down, trying not to cry from the thrashing Damien Draven just put on him. Faye Valentine � That was hot babe�you busted him up pretty good. I bet he doesn�t look to spar with you ever again after that�shit� Nightstalker � That was no spar�he wanted to fight�fucker got me pretty good with that first shot. Of course, I figured that since he wanted to SPAR and NOT FIGHT�it was over when he tapped out. Son of a bitch, he�s lucky I don�t go back there and finish him off!!! Callisto Draven � That was pretty amazing though�you made quick work of him and he�s one of the Mantis Clan members. Taking all of the stories that I�ve heard into consideration during my travels�The Mantis Clan members are highly skilled in fighting�nobody to mess with and yet you put him down like an old dog. �Damien smirks which makes Faye smile at Callisto for that� Faye Valentine � Yeah, Good point. Guess none of those people knew who Damien was�huh? Let�s just put it this way�Damien is destined to be the Successor of this clan. Babe? When you do take leader position�can you please change the fucking name of it? C�mon now��Mantis Clan�??? How fucking self-righteous can one be? Faye and Callisto both giggle in attempts to cheer Damien up and it starts working. Walking towards the woods, Callisto examines the shirt of Damien Draven that she�s holding, admiring it after what she had just witnessed out of him. Damien treads through the woods and to where the stream is�to spot the 300 some-odd pound trout that Syn, Araign�e and Lucy just caught. Callisto spots it and her jaw drops. Nightstalker � Hey!!! Nice catch!!! Need some help with that??? Faye and Callisto follow Damien down the path and to the river bend where they merge their party of three into six. Syn welcomes them to come down and fish with them. Until the sun falls from the sky, till the white moon lifts in all of it�s glory�they continue fishing and talking amongst one another. Syn DeClarion � Hey, what�s with the cuts and scrapes?? Nightstalker � Oh�I just beat the shit out of Kyren�that�s all. �The look Syn reveals is priceless as Damien nods. Faye explains� Faye Valentine � Yeah, we were just talking�when Kyren came along and challenged him to a sparring match. Yeah, I thought he was out his fuckin� mind at first but after they sparred�Kyren tapped, Damien let him go and once on their feet again�Kyren fuckin� sucker punched him and started a fist fight. Trust me�what you see here on Damien is nothing compared to how bad Kyren is going to look for the next week. �Callisto slowly nods her head, reliving it in her mind again� Syn DeClarion � Hmm�well, it sounds like he got what he was looking for. I�m going to bring this trout back to the camp, skin it and clean it. I�ll be back shortly afterward�Damien, mind fishing in my position until I return? Nightstalker � Sure man� Syn DeClarion � Thank you�Be right back. C�mon Lucy�let�s go show everybody what you caught! Lucy �eeps� and gets all excited before running along to catch up with Syn as he walks up the trail with the 340 pound monster trout slung up and over his right shoulder. Damien takes the fishing rod and looks to all of the fish that Araignee, Lucy and Syn had caught before him�excluding that monster that would feed the entire Mantis Clan for a week alone. Strung from tree branch to tree branch on thick rope�many different assorted types of fish dangle in the wind. Faye Valentine � Araign�e, this is Callisto�Damien�s cousin. Callisto? This is Araign�e�she was a slave girl to a guy named Vlad Volrian. Lord Sukinahito saved her and brought her here, she�s cool. She�s one of us now. Araign�e and Callisto go to shake hands, but Callisto grabs her and pulls her in for a hug instead. Making Araign�e blush a little but she hugs Callisto back in return. Damien casts the line back out and into the water and Araign�e tends to her line once more after the hug with Callisto parts. Callisto Draven � Araign�e, huh? That�s a pretty name. It�s nice to meet you. Araign�e � I like your name too. And it�s a pleasure meeting you as well, Callisto. So�why did Kyren start a fight with Damien? That worries me. Callisto Draven � No idea� Faye Valentine � I think he was trying to show off for me when Damien put him in his spot, humiliated him in front of everybody that was there to watch and I think that the embarrassment of failure alone drove him into fighting Damien in a feeble attempt to prove his worth. Pssh�Like I give half a fuck in the first place? Araign�e � Well, that�s not very nice. I bet Kyren would die protecting any one of us�I overheard Linca telling Sukinahito about how he came out of his coma to fight Lord Vain�regardless if he was too weak to do anything or not, he still tried. Nightstalker � That�s right� �Araign�e, Faye and Callisto all look over at Damien� Nightstalker � I don�t hate him, even after what he did. Can you blame him for trying as hard as he could??? He�s just lucky I wasn�t somebody like Vain�if I was? He wouldn�t have stood a chance. He would have died right then and there and that would have been the end of it. I�m almost�kind of proud of him�for fighting me after he had already failed during our spar. He proved his and I proved mine. I�ve got no problem with him anymore� �The rushing sound of the stream fills the atmosphere� Nightstalker � You have to give him credit. Most people wouldn�t want to spar with me�little alone refusing to accept failure in general. Kyren just earned my respect earlier�regardless if he won�t be able to stand being around me for a week or two. Challenging me�in the first place�is more than enough to gain his credit. �Damien yanks on his rod and hooks a fish, he starts reeling� Faye Valentine � Good point�
