Chinese 101: Elementary Chinese (5 hours of lecture, 1 hour of lab.)-
            Teaches elementary Skills of pronunciation, essentials of grammer, speaking, reading and writing.
Chinese 105: Elementary Chinese (3 hours of lecture)-
            Teaches elementary Skills of pronunciation, grammer, speaking, reading and writing - covers the first half of Chinese 101
Chinese 106: Elementary Chinese (3 hours of lecture)-
            Teaches elementary Skills of pronunciation, grammer, speaking, reading and writing - covers the second half of Chinese 101
Chinese 110: Elementary Chinese (5 hours of lecture, 1 hour of lab.)-
            Teaches pronunciation, essentials of grammer, speaking, reading and writing.
Chinese 115: Elementary Chinese (3 hours of lecture)
            Teaches pronunciation, grammer, speaking, reading and writing - covers the first half of Chinese 110
Chinese 116: Elementary Chinese (3 hours of lecture)
            Teaches pronunciation, grammer, speaking, reading and writing - covers the second half of Chinese 110
Chinese 130: Chinese Civilization (3 hours of lecture)
            Survey of the major developments and characteristic of Chinese civilization and culture from its orgins to modern times (taught in english)
Chinese 197: Chinese Topics (.5-5 hours of lecture)-
            Topics in Chinese. Topic varies from semester to semester. See Class Schedule for specific topic offered.
Chinese 201: Intermediate Chinese (5 hours of lecture, 1 hour lab)
            Review of grammatical principles, composition, and continued oral practice. Appreciation of Chinese culture through composition and oral practice assignments.
Chinese 205: Intermediate Chinese (3 hours of lecture)
            Review of grammatical principles, composition, and continued oral practice. Appreciation of Chinese culture through composition and oral practice assignments. 1st half of 201
