Enforcing the Motorist Choice
Following the VBRA's recent action on behalf of their members,
(see page 42 July/August Body) the following insurance companies
have told VBRA Director General Ron Nicholson that they
DO tell policy holders they have the right to choose which
bodyshop undertakes repairs on their damaged vehicle.

Insurers not on the list have either not responded to the VBRA
request or have replied with information that needs further
clarification. Ron Nicholson advises members (or non-members)
who have evidence that insurance claims or engineering
staff are unfairly prejudicing the choices that motorists make
at a time when the motorist may be vulnerable and suffering
from accident induced stress - to contact the insurer's chief
engineer in the first instance to ask why their staff are
not adhering to company policy.
