Well, there's not really much to say. WCW as we know it is gone. They have been bought by the World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, Inc. What does that mean? Well.. good news for Mikey!
Did you catch WrestleMania? I did. Hell, I was there. And let me tell you... I was waiting all weekend for the expected sight of a WCW wrestler. Then, in the middle of the Shane/Vince street fight-- well, not in the middle. More like in the beginning when big Mac came out-- who do I see as they pan the crowd? Mike Sanders!! Yeah, the others were there, too, but first and foremost, I spotted Mikey!!
Can you tell I'm happy? You shouuld. And it's more than just seeing Mike. It's having concrete evidence that he is one of the ones that are getting picked up. And with not seeing him on Nitro-- I was bummed. Not to mention the OTHER crap that went on that weekend, but that's not for here.
Anyway-- I was expecting at least a glimpse of him. Seeing Shane was great. I had predicted it. In fact, if you go to my website Fantasy Frollies, you'll see a story I wrote called Family Feud, in which I predicted the whole thing at least a month in advance. Maybe more. But on to other things--
Mike. What will happen to him? Well, it's obvious that the WWF is better at handling talent that WCW was. So, no more lackey or bootlicker for Mike. WWF will see the potential that all of his fans saw in him. And that is one of the few things I have real faith in!
Welcome to the first commentary of Sanders Satisfaction. Here is where I will let you all in on the ramblings of me, the webmistress, about Mike and WCW. This week's rambling? Where is Mike!
I think I'll start off by saying how disappointed I am with WCW about their handling of talent, Mike Sanders in particular. It's like... come on! This man has excellent ring skills, great ring presence and on the mic? There's no words to describe it. "Cheez Whiz suckin' trailer park trash..." says it all. But do we get any of that? Oh no. What do we get instead? A dynamic grappler turned into Flair's lackey.
Not happy about it. Not in the least. I'll tell you-- I think I was most upset on Thunder, when Flair told him to unclog Animal's toilet. That is what Janitorial is for. Mike Sanders is worth a helluva lot more than cleaning a crapper. Thank goodness he didn't do it!
Now, onto his latest partner. Kwee Wee? They broke up the Thrillers to team him up with Kwee Wee?!? Don't get me wrong, he definitely has the moves, but-- they could have at LEAST let them make it past the first round of the cruiserweight tag team tournament. But no, they get defeated in the first round by a tag team that individually, either man could beat. So why did they lose as a collective? More of WCW's mishandling and misdirection.
Now, on to Greed. Once again, no Mike. We see him once in a blue moon, on an occasional show, but that's it. And I won't even START on where is Jindrak. That's a whole other discussion.
What's my point? I want more Mike Sanders. Plain and simple. I want Mike out there doing his job, entertaining the fans, and calling us all sorts of bad names. I get a kick out of heels, and I love it when they talk trash. It's one of the best parts of the show for me.
WCW... listen up. You need to get on the ball. Use the shutdown to boost up your writing and creative team and come up with something GOOD. You remember good, right? You had it a few years ago. Well, get it back! And if you guys come back on and I hear that Mike Sanders has been let go like those women (I'm STILL upset over Daffney) then you are seriously going to have one less watcher. Who's next? Buff Bagwell? Come on! Don't take all of our enjoyment away!
Until next time, this is Carm, signing off. Well... off of here but going on to update. I'll be back with next week's commentary. Hopefully by then, I'll have a name for it other than commentary. LoL. Laters....
