| I've been an American Football fan for a couple of years now. It all started about 3 years ago I quess season 1998-1999, but I' not sure. It was the year that the dutch Fox network started to broadcast a whole NFL game every sunday night, from about 23.30 till 2.00. I was broken the monday after, but it was all worth it. After 2 seasons I believe, they stopped broadcasting the games. I saw some small pieces on the sportnews but that was it. That was a big dissapointment for me, but last year all things got better. Some friends of mine were visting NFLE games and were fans of the Amsterdam Admirals. They dragged me to some games and I became a fan too. I bought an Admirals shirt, you may have seen it on the pictures in my Gallery, at a power party (pre-game show). After the season we decided to play it, during the summer, ourselves at a public soccerfield. I also became a member of the Amsterdam Admirals fanclub, 'Admirality'. I became member at a barbeque, organized by them. I have some pics of that (will put them soon in the gallery). A friend of min, Roland, is currently working at a company that sells shirts and other fan stuff; like from NFL, NBA, NFLE etc. More to come................. |

| The new season has started a couple of weeks ago :D. I visited 3 home-games already, we lost 2 of them. We also lost one game against Barcelona. If we loose another game we might not be able to reach the Super-bowl, that would be a shame. I had high hopes this year, but so far we I haven't seen 1 game, in which we played good. Sportfanatics is now the officia in-stadion merchandise supplier or what ever it is called). Alot of my friends now work for Sportfanatics and enjoy it very much. I was offered to work there too, but that goes against my principals: I won't take time off from my work to work for another company. (although I take time off to watch the game, but that is a bit different in my opinion). That is about it for now...........btw, the background is still last years team, I'll change it soon. |

| Last saturday (june 7) we played our last home-game against the Barcalona Dragons. You know what...We won!! Finally, we had something to cheer about. This saturday I'll visit with alot of my friends the last game of the season (not counting the Worldbowl) in'D�sseldorf (= Rheinfire). We'll got there by bus and have a bqq there. It is gonna be great!! I asked a friend of mine to write a column for on my site, he has done that now and it is moslty gonna be about About American Football! Check it out! It is in dutch now, I'll make an english translation later on. |
