He doesn't want us united in agreement with our Father. We all know that pray is the key to revival and most any other progress in God's kingdom. We all know there is power in prayer, especially as we come together in agreement. Why then do we talk about it, pray about it (separately), have classes on it, but not do it? I believe we need to be initiators. We need to start breaking down the barriers by taking small steps towards praying together. Overcoming Fear of Rejection: Is this one of the biggest obstacles? Am I praying right? Do I sound childish? Others sound so more spiritual or fluent. These are just some of the concerns we have. Some may be legitimate concerns, but some are from the devil or our ego. If we are praying from the heart, God accepts our prayers, and if our Father accepts them, then no one else should question our prayers. Expectations: If we come with different expectations, disappointment may follow. What do we want to pray for? How long do I have? Breaking more Ice: Touch - sometimes a light touch of the hand on someone's shoulder or arm can mean a lot if you already know the person. If done appropriately, touch can be a quiet way of showing you care. Cautions: It may be better to have men pray with men, and women with women. Bonds of Love: Special spiritual bonds can be established when we pray together. As we share answers to prayer and our testimonies with others it helps unite the body of Christ. Making ourselves available to our father and to the body (others). Incomplete: to be continued Prayer Survey Our prayer life with Our Father is vital to us as Christians.
