All Staff were trained, renewed, and certrified during an 8 hour Child First Aid and CPR Calls in September.
All new staff from all 7 Sandbox Schools participated in an 8 hour Orientation Class on October 12. This workshop included Sandbox Policies and Procetures, Abuse and the mandated Mandatory Reporter Rule, Best Practice in Professionalism, Best Practice in Classroom Health and Safety, and Providing Quality Care.
All infant and toddler staff participated in 15 hours of the Creative Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers, covering infant benchmarks, emotions, environments, and successful communications and interactions.
Creative Curriculum for Pre-Schoolers is anohter 15 hour training presently taking place for staff working with three and four year old children. This training included the environment, Illinois Early Learning Standards, the benchmarks achived on the individual path of progress, observation and assessment, and pre-school readiness for kindergarten.

Maryellen Easton, the first teacher at Sandbox in 1969 celebrated 39 years with Sandbox families and her 80th birthday as well.
