A variety of activities introduce children to new concepts. Therefore, the Sandbox Camp offers ten one-week sessions
with each week presenting a new theme.
Explore the whole summer or come for one or more weeks of fun.
FREE REGISTRATION for children currently enrolled at Sandbox.
Camp is included in the weekly cost of childcare for all day children.
A minimal additional charge may be necessary for Premium Field Trips.

WEEK 1 I'M SPECIAL
Focus on self, uniquely me. Bringing
in baby pictures. Pictures on Parade.
Guess Who? Special Self Album.
Special Event: Special Visitor
WEEK 2 LET'S PRETEND
Creative drama, puppets, pantomime, role
play, be a star, see yourself on video.
Field Trip: Drury Lane
WEEK 3 KIDS WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS
Fun in the sun, relays, races, obstacle courses,
circle games, pompons, hopscotch, jump rope,
basketball, line games, indoor Olympics for rainy days.
Field Trip: Fun Fair at the 143rd St. or Palos Hills Sandbox.
WEEK 4 HUG A TREE - MEET A BUG
Nature knowledge, nature walks, nature
scavenger hunts, grubbing around, grow a garden inside and outside,
bark art and study, bug hunt. Holiday observed on 4th of July.
Field Trip: Brookfield Zoo
WEEK 5 WET AND WILD
Water balloons, bubbles,
sprinkler fun, indoor water play.
Field Trip: Pelican Harbor Water Park, Bolingbrook
WEEK 6 HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Christmas in July. Easter Egg Hunt. Dress up
for Halloween. Holiday art.
Field Trip: Holiday Picnic in the Park
WEEK 7 UP, UP, & AWAY
Birds, wind, clouds, stars, planets,
sun, rainbows, space.
Field Trip: Exploration Station
WEEK 8 KITCHEN KAPERS
You are what you eat, nutrition, fun foods
and recipes, safety in the kitchen, table
manners, gourmet delight for Mom and Dad.
Field Trip: Chuck E. Cheese
WEEK 9 PIONEER DAYS
Indians, Cowboys, Pilgrims, covered wagons,
chuck wagon cookout.
Field Trip: Round Barn Farm
WEEK 10 LITTLE PROFESSORS
Discover with air, water and plants.
