Sitar

Began his study of the
sitar and Classical Indian Music in 1994.

His first guru was Mushtaq Hussain Khan of Mumbai (Bombay), who visited Chicago for one year. Following Mushtaq's return to Indian, Clar continued his studies with Shree Patric Marks of Ahmedabad, India.

Both gurus are of the Indore Gharana.

Extensive knowledge of other Indian musical instruments include the
Tanpura, Harmonium, Tablas, Pakhajaw, Mridangam and other drums, percussion, Dilruba, Sarangi.

Clar also
repairs Sitars, some Harmonium work and other Indian string instruments.

Clar is also an accomplished musician of the guitar, bass and keyboards of over 30 years.

He and his wife
GiGi have performed together since 1995 in various Chicago venues, both public and private.
