| My life and love for sandals By Sandals in NJ I will never forget the fist time I wore sandals to school. I was in the second grade, so I had to be around 8 years old. It was 1982. At that time, guys wearing sandals wasn't exactly the in-thing to do, but I knew I wanted to do it, yet I had no idea why. So that day, I asked my mother if I could wear my flip flops with my jeans to school, and she agreed. While I was walking to school, it was the greatest feeling. I felt so cool and bold at such a young age to be wearing my flip flops. When I got to school, I got a lot of comments, from teachers to my classmates. But no one made fun of it. I got a ton of looks, too, from everyone. I remember sitting in the classroom, shuffling my feet in and out of the flip flops, and putting my bare feet on the cool floor of the classroom. It felt so awesome, and I think it was at that time, I realized how much I loved wearing sandals--and I was 8. A fetish was born. It wasn't until around 1991 or 1992 though that I really began heavily exploring my sandal fetish. Sandals were not allowed in my high school, so I could never wear them to school. When I got to college, however, I was so shocked to see that men of all ages were wearing sandals to school. So I bought my first pair of Tevas and wore them to college, and I wore them every day and everywhere. This was really the first time I was able to see so many hot guys wearing similar open-toe footwear, and I was in heaven. From there, my collection of sandals expanded and expanded. I now wear my sandals just about everywhere, and still hope to meet the perfect guy into the same (It hasn't come close to happening yet!) I still prefer slides where not all toes show, but I have sandals of all kinds in my collection. Some people have asked me if I'd want to give up this fetish for anything. The answer is clearly NO. How can you beat having a love for a body part that is now often exposed by men, and when it's exposed, it's not considered "nudity?" Everywhere we sandals (and foot) fetishers go, we get to see what we want, and it's perfectly acceptable. Unbeatable. |
