A Funny Thing Happened To Me on My Way
                  Through The Holy Land
I am writing a book comprising a collection of amusing stories         as told by visitors to Israel.  The aim of the book is two-fold:
To give a voice to the tourists experience of Israel and refresh        the Israeli experience for the Israeli when seen through the visitors  eyes.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN TO ISRAEL, HAVE A STORY TO TELL AND WANT TO SEE IT PUBLISHED, HERE'S YOUR OPPORTUNITY!
Excerpt From the book:
Chapter 1 : What to See in Israel

  The Dead Sea Scrolls:

Israeli guides are extremely knowledgeable about the history of these ancient manuscripts
from  the Essenes period discovered in the caves at Qumran, on the shores of the Dead Sea.
These are housed on the grounds of the Israel Museum in a building called
The Shrine of the Book .
Of course, the success of this visit depends a lot on what the tourist expects to find

Jossi, a young American guide has this story to tell:

I was guiding a small group of tourists from England through the gardens of the Israel
Museum  when coming to the Shrine of the Book I started my usual explanations.
Although I speak English well, this time I learned that there's English, and again,
   there's ENGLISH!

Leaving the Museum, I asked the members  of the group if they had any comments.
Excited questions came pouring out. One of these left me slightly bemused

Excuse me, young man said a nice elderly gentleman, but I didnt see any squirrels

  Squirrels?! I asked startled.

Yes, you said you would show us the Dead Sea squirrels
Oh!   I suddenly saw the light, you mean SCROLLS!

  Exactly he replied firmly, Squirrels!
