| *Chapter 17* The next couple of weeks were so amazing. They kept with me valeting Jeff which was so much fun every week. I was starting to get fan letters which was just awesome. It made me so happy to know that the fans liked me. My worst fear was to finally debut in the WWE and then get fired because nobody liked me. But everything was going great. I was so comfortable on TV, and Jeff and I had great chemistry together. A couple of weeks in, Vince had wanted to turn Jeff and I into a romance story. But neither of us really wanted to go there. We both felt like we were good friends, and probably wouldn't be comfortable with that storyline. I had yet to have an actual wrestling match, but they had ongoing storylines to finish up before they could throw me into the mix. They wanted to put me against another diva who was also valeting someone at the time so we could have mixed tag matches. That way I wouldn't have to start out in one-on-one matches. Vince wanted me and Trish to fued, which I had no objections against. But I had a strong relationship with Jeff, and Trish was just developing a storyline with The Hurricane. Vince thought it would be a good fued since Jeff and the Hurricane grew up together. But I had to wait my time out and stick with valeting until they were ready. So for the time being I was trying to make friends with everyone. The roster split made it difficult because I was becoming really good friends with everyone on Raw, but I only got to see the SmackDown superstars once per month at pay-per-views, maybe a couple more times at parties if I was lucky. At the pay-per-views I made it a point to talk to the SmackDown stars. I had become pretty good friends with Nidia, Kurt Angle, Edge, Big Show, Matt and so on. Of course I had love Kurt and Show forever, so I had to get to know them. I was having the time of my life, building friendships and memories that I would never forget. It had all come together, I was a WWE Diva. |
