| *Intro* The story I'm going to share with you is very dear to my heart. It is the story of some of the best years of my life. I'm telling you about these times at the request of my boss. He says the fans want to know. So here I am, sitting in my room curled up under the covers, trying to think of where to start. My life was once so simple, full of dreams. Now my life is very hectic, but I'm living out my dreams. Things have happened that I never thought would, and I wouldn't trade any of it for anything. I have everything I've ever dreamed of and more. So many things have happened lately, and I'm going to tell you all about them. Now I just have to decide where to start.... and there only seems to be one logical place......... |
| *Chapter 1* Im sitting here impatiently in the waiting room. This whole process is very nerve-wracking!!! I'm sitting outside of Shane McMahon's office at WWE Headquarters waiting for an interview. All I've wanted my whole life was to be a WWE Diva, and I'm almost there! If I can just get through this interview I've got it! I feel pretty good about it because I was called here by Shane. He contacted my Indy Federation, Steel Domain Wrestling, and asked for an interview! I couldn't believe it when it happened, but it was true! I'd finally gotten my break, and I wasn't gonna do anything to screw it up! So I sat in the waiting room, trying not to look nervous, waiting for them to call me in. I never prepared for these types of things, I just figured the right thing to say would come to mind when I was asked a question. That's what I usually do. And actually I was reading an old issue of "People" Magazine when I heard the receptionist Donna call my name. "Jessica Joramo?" "Yes thats me!" I said standing up. "Right this way" she lead me into Shane's office. Shane's office was beautiful. Shane was sitting at his desk looking through some papers. He looked up as I walked in. "Miss Joramo!" he said extending his hand. "Mr. McMahon!" we shook hands. Vince Russo was also there, we shook hands too. "I've just been looking through you portfolio, it's very impressive!! Steel Domain Wrestling is a very good place to train, and they're very picky with their applicants. You're very lucky to have worked with them, they're one of the best in the business. How long have you been with them?" "Well I trained there for about 4 months, then I started appearing on television. I was just a valet for about 2 months until I had my first televised match. And now I've been on TV for about 3 months." "Very cool. That's good that you have some experience on TV in front of larger crowds. A lot of the people that come in here for jobs have never been in real matches, and they're just in it for the money, or the fame ya know?" "Yeah, well I guess that's why you contacted me then huh." "Yeah! The footage I've seen of some of your matches are very good! I think I have one in the VCR, here tell me if you can tell me a little about this match..." he pushed play on the VCR and I saw my very first Women's title match on the screen. It was against a girl named Destiny who had no right to hold the title because she was a horrible wrestler and her on-screen boyfriend always had to help her cheat to win. Anyways, I explained the storyline to Shane and everything seemed to be going very well. He was responding to the match how I'd always wanted someone to respond! He even complimented me on my finishing move. I used to corkscrew moonsault (borrowed from Jeff Hardy mind you!) and Shane said he had never seen a woman pull that move off! I was so impressed, and so blown away that these words were coming from Shane McMahon! "How long have you wanted to be a wrestler??" Shane asked me, as he was still watching the match. "Ever since I started watching the WWE on TV! Since 2000. Once I saw it I knew that was what I wanted to do, and I've worked towards achieving that since then." "OK, very cool..... well here are my thoughts Miss Joramo...." "Oh please, call me Jessica!" I insisted. "Alright, well Jessica, I think you are a very talented wrestler. Your style is very unique, something we don't see a lot out of our women talent except maybe Lita. Plus I think you've got the look and the desire to be a diva here at the WWE. You are the type of person we look for, someone who knows they want this and will do anything to be here. I'm thinking we'll start you off with a 2-year developmental contract at OVW. You can get used to our wresting rings, and maybe develop your style a little more, get a little more experience in front of live crowds, and then we'll see where we're gonna go from there." "Wow thank you sir! That sounds fantastic!" He pulled out the contract, handed it to me and said, "Please, call me Shane." |
