| Dear Diary: What Have They Said?? Ike said: Zac orders us around more than we do - he's behing the drums and everything and he can control us... what we do. We've met a lot of really good friends who were fans to begin with and you can tell when fans are so obsessed with you that they wouldn't be able to concentrate on getting to know you. It's not hard to figure that out. If I see a cool chick in the street, I'll watch her going by, won't I? Tay said: It's great to be good friends with your brothers, then you've got friends for life! -Isaac is a classic big brother. While Zac and I are bumbling and stumbling, Ike knows the right way to do everything. -Once he [Ike] turns 18, he can be convicted. -Yeah, Zac was dropped on his head as a baby... -Isaac's the hopeless romanitc of the group, I'm the professional and Zac's just mad. -We're weird in a way, it's not every kid who sings with his brothers for a living. -Zac is the funny one, the crazy one, the insane one. He's very cool onstage. He's also got some sad, deep songs where you go, "How old is he?" -Zac's the drummer, so he'll go, 'I'm the drummer, I'll do whatever I want,' so he'll speed us up, slow us down, whatever he wants to do. -We're known as Ike, Tay, and Zac, not Posh, Butter, Spicy, and Rare, or whatever they are. -Part of what Hanson is, is that there's not just one guy who sings. Having three voices is what makes us Hanson. -How much better of a job can you get? -We're not doing this because we want girl to screeam at us... but they can scream if they want! On fame: -I think you have to make sure you're always having fun. Make sure you're doing something you really want to do. Then put your whole heart into it. -That kind of takes you aback, when you have that many fans writing and writing, saying, "Thank you for your music." That blows you away, because�you're not special in any way, really. You're just three normal guys and you've been able to have some really awesome opportunities. It blows youaway, how lucky you are. - I guess we weren't prepared for any of it as far as people responding to us, all the letters we've gotten. Now we have three or four storage rooms, like garages, full to the brim of letters we've gotten from all over the world. On girls: -I haven't got any clear picture of my dream girl. I don't mind a bit what she looks like, but she must be very cool and like listening to me. She has to be faithful too, and that's important. But I don't want to rush things. After all, I'm only 15 years-old and have my whole life in front of me. -I'm a very shy person, especially where girls are concerned. -To me, romance is a beautiful thing to be enjoyed. -I got my shirt ripped, that was kind of amazing. Zac said: -I�ve said it before, and I�ll say it again, [my New Year�s Resolution is] that I won�t die! -Ike is a girl charmer. He'll always say nice things to girls. It's just something he does -Music is always changing and you have to change with it...or else you're...stupid. -Who do we look up to? Well, we look up to usually, the people that are tall, you know, usually about 6 foot 2 and up. -Having fans wait hours and hours to see you, that is pretty awesome to think people would wanna see you that much. -I'm not that great of a drummer, but everyone says I can play, so I'll take their word for it. -Who'd want to hear a song for God's sake about the zebra crossing problem in Kansas City? -Well, I use the green goop in the swamp in the back our house. Then I get it all mushy in my hair. I go to a mental hospital every couple of weeks and they do a checkup. -We did a batman model [lego] which was pretty gruesome. We pushed a guy outta the control tower and he landed on the street and killed people. We used a lot of ketchup for that one. -Yeah, who doesn't [pick their nose]? I bet the President of the USA does too! -Listen for the rumble, and then run. Hair is only a big thing if you have big hair. |
