| Sanctus Real started over 6 years ago. The band originally had 5 members, but one left the band because he got married or left for college or something... it was a while ago, doesn't really matter. For the majority of the time, there have been four members: Matt Hammitt on lead vocals and guitar, Chris Rohman on lead guitar, Matt Kollar on bass, and Mark Graalman on the drums. | as a temporary bassist, until Steve Goodrum joined, who is now their permanent bassist. Sanctus Real has made 5 CDs. The first was All This Talk of Aliens. It was their debut CD, a 5 track demo. Next, they released Message for the Masses, which was their first full length CD. After they won the WIOT GlassCity Rock Off (where they beat 75 other local bands to officially become the favorite of Toledo), they released Nothing To Lose, their third CD, which was their first CD on a record label, SpinAround Records (produced by Skidd Mills). Next they got signed with Sparrow Records and released Say It Loud, which sold more albums in its first week than any other album on that label. Their newest album, Fight The Tide, is currently in stores, with the song "Everything About You" playing on Christian rock and contemporary radio. Sanctus Real is not a just group of guys who want to get together and play a rock show that fans will enjoy, Sanctus Real is a group of guys who are devoting their lives to spreading the love of Christ, and they are being called to do that through playing music that people enjoy. |
