Midnight Prayer -10/16/2004

To burn in ev’ry breath, My Lord
And, burning, breathe yet deeper still.
To fight with shield, and spear, and sword
My heart conforming to Your Will.

To bring Your peace with words, My King
And see the living water flow
To help the mountains’ splendor sing
My tongue the verdant fields to sow.

To feel your love, Oh Father Dear,
And share it with my fellow man
To preach until Your Day draws near
My soul will glorify Your plan.

I ask Your Spirit, Lord, this hour,
Just give me grace, and show Your power.
