Are Those Our Eyes (Depicted There So Bright) -5/09/06 Some would fire these photographs That linger still when you are gone. They wouldn’t want to be reminded Of all the kisses caught on film. But I recall the fire inside your eyes. Some would burn these letters now, Expressing your undying love. They wouldn’t want to be reminded Of the promised life we left undone. But I recall anticipation’s flames. It isn’t in me to burn these things That burned so brightly in their day: The eyes reflecting, Page collecting Ev’ry moment spent with you. I could add nothing to the fire That they already say.
