These rings’ reversal works a clever deed Makes clearly present “two” where once was “one” Where once was “light”, we see a “moon” and “sun” And neither e’er must glimpse the other’s steed. But though I use poetic method here In more than poetry, distinction lies. The change is felt in what we say and do. You are to me as “wall” instead of “mirror”, Where once I saw a heart are guarded eyes, Where once I touched an “I”, I feel a “you”.
