I know that You see deeper -2/21/04

I know that You see deeper, past the stars
And through the center of the whirling whole.
Your gaze sees clearly through all that which bars,
It sees with ease the fathoms of my soul.

I know my Lord, You walk outside of Time,
And in Your mind You write its twisted code.
Though I can see no reason and no rhyme,
You plan with care the never-ending road.

But Lord, please show your purpose here in this:
She’s bound my heart and mind with scarlet cord.
I’ll change if all my heart and soul’s amiss,
But if you mean her for me then, Dear Lord!

I do not want the things you will not give,
But if she’s not for me, why do I live?
